Australian Army Reconstruction Task Force soldiers engage Taliban who attacked them while the RTF was building a patrol base for the Afghan National Army, approximately 15km from Tarin Kowt. This was the first time the Australian Army had fired its mortars operationally since the Vietnam War. The Taliban used small arms fire and RPGs from different positions to attack the site. The Australian troops responded swiftly with ASLAV vehicles, mortars and follow-up patrolling.

2006 ’07 FT Ripley was nevered attacked, the SASR was in the mountains pushing the enemy off, the ground missions was done by the US. SF teams and the ETT had the ANA completing the search and destroy missions . stop 2008 the ISAF took control, every inch we fought for, the taliban took miles back

@australbanian Taliban are a military force. There are no Taliban peasants, they are Afghan peasants that are forced into poverty by the Taliban.
